You love your pets, and you want the very best for your furry friends. Cat Toys and treats are usually the first things pet owners go for, but did you know that there are a few simple, sometimes overlooked things that are even more important for your pet’s health and happiness?

Having great, fun toys to play with is an excellent pastime for your pet. Finding quality toys can be a challenge, and there are so many products and brand names to choose from. But your pet is probably going to be more satisfied with the simple act of attention from you, than by chasing or chewing a toy. A play session every single day is going to do more wonders for the happiness and health of your pet than the finest toys you can buy. It doesn’t matter what kind of play session, a run in the park, a chase around the house even (if you have small pets or indoor only pets), the targeted attention will do wonders. A half hour (or more!) of your loving attention will improve your bond with your beloved furry friend and keep him/her happy. Loving attention goes a long way to help deal with and even define proper behavior and socialization of your pet, both with you, your family and other household pets.

Another very important factor to your pet’s ultimate health and happiness is his diet. Cats and dogs are omnivores; this means that they need meat in their diets. Cats in specific are obligate omnivores; they must have meat to survive. While dogs can survive on more vegetarian types of diets, this type of diet should be monitored by a veterinarian with specialization in nutrition (not all vets do). Either way, a natural dog food or cat food is always best. When there is more meat in the food, the better quality that pet food will be.

When looking for pet information, there are many resources online. Just keep in mind that sometimes it’s best to keep it simple; play with your pets regularly and make sure they have a proper diet.
