Cat Enclosures For Cat Breeders

As a cat breeder, you will inevitably have to seclude or confine some of your breeding stock. All cat breeders know that it is often difficult to confine a male stud in a place that will keep him happy, healthy and occupied. There are many ways you can alter your home to suit your cattery needs, but sometimes it’s not possible (financially or otherwise) to change the format of your home. So most cat breeders create or purchase some form of cat enclosure.

There are many ways to make a home-made version of a cat enclosure. Some are truly amazing and incredibly clever. You may see kittening rooms in closets, second bedrooms or basements. There are outdoor runs and enclosures for studs, which have their own indoor condo retreat when the weather isn’t agreeable. There are many kennel-like cattery enclosures that allow the cats to be indoors or outdoors as they wish. And of course there are many different commercial types of cat enclosures you can buy online or even at a local pet store.

While it seems most cat breeders opt for some form of do-it-yourself cat enclosure, there are very few places that you can buy a pre-made kit to be delivered to your door. No matter what kind of set up your cattery uses currently, Kris at Habitat Haven will be able to make suggestions for a custom design just right for your cattery. Your cat enclosure will be delivered to your door, or you may be able to book an installation by Habitat Haven, depending on where you live. A weekend to assemble your new enclosure is all it takes for a forever safe and happy Habitat Haven.

Manx Hugs and Purrs

A warm Manx Hug and lots of Purrs to all from AnaManxs Cattery. This year has brought some changes for us here at AnaManx’s, we are now living in the city and miss seeing our ducks and wildlife daily. The drive (45 minutes - 1 an hour a day) was a bit much - not to mention the price of gas. Our Bella had two beautiful kittens that have found wonderful homes on May Day. That was quite a scary event, she ended up having to have a “C” section and I was advised to have her spayed since she might have the same problems in the future.

My charming Buster AKA CH Animere Carlyn has gone to live with my son and his new family in TN. He also will no longer be siring kittens, and now is just the KING of the house! He may show as a premier once he settled down a bit. He has not taking as well as I had hoped to showing as a whole male. Even if a cat has all the beauty and charm and genetic to be a show Buster, you never known how they will react to it; we as breeders can not guarantee show ability! But, now loving personality “The Manx” have it all!

I believe my CH Mynney is expecting and possibly also Anna Bree! I will keep you posted.

Mars Pet Care is recalling bags of Pedigree Complete Nutrition Small Crunchy Bites

Mars Pet Care is recalling bags of Pedigree Complete Nutrition Small Crunchy Bites dog food.

A salmonella scare has forced Mars Petcare US to recall 100 of its 20-pound bags of PEDIGREE Complete Nutrition Small Crunchy Bites sold at some Albertsons in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada.

The company also makes Nutro pet food, which scores of consumers nationwide blame for the recent illnesses - and even deaths - of their dog and cats.

Nutro products, however, are not included in this recall.
