Due to overwhelming spam issues there will have to be some rules and guidelines - to be amended as necissary.

1. New Members Must be Pre-Approved by Admin or Moderators
All new members will need to send me a PM to verify their accounts. Yes, an email verification is also required before you post. Unfortunately, this is how things will have to be for now. I cannot allow automatic approval and automatic posting privileges to spammers.

2. Signatures
By all means link to your cattery or cat related website. No more than 3-4 links per signature OR one graphical signature file no larger than 486x60 pixels. If your signature takes up too much space or takes too long to load you will be asked to remove it - or it will be removed for you.

3. Forum Etiquette
If you are not accustomed to message board/forum etiquette, the easiest way to conduct yourself without getting into trouble with forum moderators is to stay polite and friendly. However, if in doubt, the answer is simple - don't do it.

Here is a short list of don'ts

• Do not post inflammatory or confrontational comments. Even if you are responding to someone else who "started first". Please report ALL posts that appear inflammatory. Opinion is one thing, riling people up for the hell of it is NOT considered fun here. Trolls beware.
  
• Personal attacks against people, businesses or sites will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone or their site, take it up with them personally.
  
• Do not post random news about non-cat related topics. If you want to share a link or site please summarize what it's about in the post and then provide the link.
  
• Do not post or PM (private message) affiliate links or offers. Not even in signatures. If you don't know what an affiliate link or offer is, you probably don't need to worry about this rule. Please DO report anyone who sends you a PM with some kind of unasked for solicitation.
  
• Politics/Religion/War topics are not permitted here. If you want to discuss the latest news or share your political/religious/etc views or opinions, there are 100's of forums out there for that purpose. This is not the place.
